Pond Lights
SETTING THE MOOD
garden lights are used by many people and they always enhance a garden of an evening. The same goes for pond lights, but I think the result is even more affective.
Now picture the scene you are in your garden on a summers evening, maybe you have had some family or friends around for a barbecue and you are now sitting in the garden chatting and the light starts to fad. Your pond looks great anyway, during the day that is but disappears of a night. If you install some lights in strategic places around your pond then the effect is amazing. The way you can get some subtle lights to bounce of the water looks just great. Also your plants in and around your pond look good to when they have a bit of light catching their colours and bringing them to life. If you have a waterfall or fountain then when the moving water is lit it can be mesmerizing. Your family and friends will love it. But warning don’t switch on the lights until there is a gap in the conversation as all talk will immediately change to the pond as soon as you fire it up with some light.
You can really experiment with this as well by having different coloured lights, the effects you can get with coloured lights and water really have to be seen to be believed. Once you add lighting to your pond it will be hard to go back in the house. You don’t want bright lights as this would be to harsh for effect and the fish. There are some great solar powered lights available which once installed are not going to cost anything to run and they aren’t to bright.
It really is worth investing in some light around your pond especially if you like to sit in the garden of an evening, why not enjoy your pond day and night.
