Simple Small Pond

There are very simple but effective processes in all kinds of projects and building a pond is no different. I thought I would show you a very simple way to build a Raised Pond.

This really follows on from a post from late last month about the alternative to digging out a big hole in your garden to accommodate a pond.

Now with raised ponds there are endless designs the same as below ground ponds, the only limit on design and look is you. The video I included in that post was of a very simple but effective design and looked great when it was finished. As the pond didn’t take up the whole raised area it also became a raised combination of pond and flower bed.

This simple design I am going to talk about here, really is basic but shows just how easy it can be to get that water garden installed. It is a simple round design using a preformed circular container that is held by a wall. Now you can build your wall out of what ever you desire as long as it is strong. This one makes it even easier to construct.

The wall is made of interlocking blocks that form a perfect circle, they are from a company called AllanBlocks.com. They really do simplify the building of a pond wall and they look great as well. This doesn’t mean you have to have a round pond, I am sure you can make all different design shapes with these blocks.

I have included the video showing the construction of this very simple pond building process, but like I said you don’t have to use these blocks it was just to show the very simple concept of a basic raised pond.
